For 5 generations, we have been making shoes with passion

For 5 generations, Le Petit Fils du Cordonnier has been perpetuating a family tradition rooted in leather and footwear. It all began in 1869, when great-grandfather Pierre Humeau apprenticed with a shoemaker before settling in La Chapelle Aubry, the family cradle. Thus began our adventure.

Pierre, accompanied by his wife Joséphine, passed on his passion to his son Pierre, thus perpetuating the family know-how. From generation to generation, this passion and craftsmanship have been passed down to Damien Humeau, the youngest of the family and current manager of the company.

Tradition and modernity at the heart of our history

In 1992, when their first daughter was born, Damien and Christine Humeau decided to specialize in the manufacture of baby slippers.

"It was truly born from an emotion, since then we have had the joy of providing shoes for many babies. In the greatest artisanal tradition, all our models are designed and manufactured in France to guarantee the best guarantee of quality. I still fully experience this choice and this dynamic today with a thought for my ancestors. The link between yesterday and today gives me additional strength. The certainty that the spirit of initiative and creativity open doors on the horizon whatever the times."

Damien HUMEAU, the shoemaker's great-grandson

At Le Petit Fils du Cordonnier, our story is one of passion passed down from generation to generation, combining tradition and modernity. We are proud to perpetuate our artisanal know-how and to share with you our creative universe imbued with timeless values.

We offer parents, grandparents and friends the opportunity to offer their baby a quality gift, benefiting from our French know-how. A pair of slippers at birth then becomes a thoughtful gesture. A gift that will be kept and passed down from generation to generation.
